The new generation of the TLR-7 HL-X SUB flashlight has redesigned electronics compared to the old version of the TLR-7 SUB, which can accommodate, in addition to standard CR123A batteries, an accumulator Streamlight SL-B9^™ (the TLR-7 HL-X SUB is included in the package). Compared to the TLR-7 X SUB version, it has an increased output of 1000 lm / 10000 candela (only with the SL-B9 battery), but it can be easily reprogrammed to the output of an ordinary X SUB, i.e. 500 lm / 5000 cd and thus extend the battery life. It also has this reduced performance when using standard CR123A batteries. It is identical in size and functions to the original TLR-7 SUB / X-SUB version, i.e. also fits into the same holsters. 

This version of the tried and tested Streamlight TLR-7 flashlight in a subcompact package has innovative buttons that are no longer activated by pressing from the side, but from the back. This results in a much more ergonomic and prompt activation in a stressful situation without the deviation of the aiming axis. The flashlight does not exceed the length profile of the firearm, which is ideal for concealed carry.  

The flashlight has a very handy deactivation function, when you just turn the front of the flashlight (a click is heard) and the flashlight disconnects the power supply. This is especially useful when storing or carrying the gun in a trunk or other package, where the pressure of the foam padding can activate the lamp and drain the battery.

The body of the flashlight, as well as its assembly, is made of anodized aircraft aluminum, which guarantees excellent resistance of the flashlight and its perfect attachment to the firearm. 

The flashlight is powered by one Streamlight SL-B9^™  battery (included in the package) and with it has a power of 1000 lumens (beam distance 200 m, 10000 candela) and a duration of 1 hour. It can also be powered by a CR123A battery, which has half the output, 500 lm / 5000 cd for 1.5 hours. It is waterproof (IP37, 1m depth, 30 minutes). It has specially developed optics with an optimized light cone and peripheral illumination.

The control is reversible for left and right-handed users, the buttons have a dual function - momentary/constant mode  - when you press the button and keep it pressed, the flashlight lights up, when you release the pressure, the flashlight goes out. If you just press and release the button, the flashlight will light up, after another press it will go out again. These two modes cover practically all situations in low-light situations. 

The flashlight also has a strobe mode. It is deactivated by default, to activate it you just need to press any activation button ten times in quick succession and hold it down for the tenth time. The flashlight will strobe and turn off. This unlocks the strobe mode. Its activation takes place by double-clicking on any activation button. To block the stroboscopic mode, you need to press and hold the button 10 times in quick succession.

The flashlight comes with a handy mounting tool and two back button shapes that are interchangeable.
